CDM Co-ordination  (Constuction Design Management )

Do you have a project or development that has construction elements of the project?

Will the construction elements last more than 30 days or 500 man hours? If so, as the client you have additional duties under the CDM 2007 Regulations, these additional duties are:

 Appoint a competent CDM Coordinator to help comply with your legal duties

 Inform the Health and Safety Executive of the project on an F10 form

 Appoint a competent Principle Contractor

 Ensure an adequate Construction Phase Plan is developed prior to construction works being undertaken

 Ensure the Principle Contractor has provided adequate welfare facilities prior to the construction works commencing.

Construction Design Management coordinator reviews the hazards and risks can not be designed out by the designers, then the remaining significant hazards and risks will be identified on the designers risk assessment and are adequately controlled by the competent principle contractor, ensuring the arrangements for managing the construction hazards and risks are clearly documented in the construction phase plan, method statements and risk assessments prior to work commencing.
