Checkel-Dalton Associates is a multi-discipliary practice consisting of Civil, Structural and Surveying Professionals who are dedicated to providing an individual service to our varied clients. The practice was formed in 1994. With offices in London and Devon

The Principal
Peter T Dalton, BSc Hons, CEng, MIStructE, MRICS, MCIOB

Peter has over 35 years post graduate experience in the Engineering Profession. He gained an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.

Prior to setting up the practice, he was senior partner on Dalton Leaper Partnership for ten years. He has gained a wide breadth of experience working for large and small consultancy practices. He offers expert witness and party wall surveyor services.

This followed a seven year period shared between major Contractors carrying out civil works and a Developer Contractor who worked in both the domestic and commercial sectors.

Key Personnel:

Donald Weighton, BA, CEng, MICE

Over 40 years design and site experience, ranging from the nuclear physics research establishment to small consultancy domestic work. Civil works have covered rail and road works in the UK and Saudi Arabia.

Design work has included preliminary design of steel deck structures for off shore oil production rigs and stress analysis of steel plate girder structures by computer analysis. Technical appraisals of commercial and industrial buildings.
