Soils/Geotechnical Consultants
We use varying soils consultants to offer specialist
advice on the wide range of ground stabilisation and foundation techniques available;
which is incorporated into our overall design Checkel-Dalton Associates is a multi-disciplinary
practice consisting of Civil, Structural and Surveying Professionals who are dedicated
to providing an individual service to our varied clients. Adequate soils investigations
are required to design foundations economically with due regards to the soil conditions.
As
a professional practice our policy is to maintain a close contact with our clients
and professional colleagues, as we believe that communication is vital to the success
of every project.
For new structures - we provide a design service in all of the traditional building
materials and where appropriate, the most modern building techniques. We prefer
to be appointed at an early stage in any project. As appropriate, we back up our
designs with desk studies and site investigations, to produce a cost effective structure
that compliments the architectural proposals.
For refurbishment - utilising current (and when necessary, superseded) British Standards
and Codes of Practice, we provide a design service based on our practical knowledge
of historic building techniques and our experience of investigating existing structures,
thus allowing the optimum re-use of an existing building.
Objectives:
